Scion of Ikshvaku – (Ram Chandra Series)

Scion of Ikshvaku (Ram Chandra Series)

Lord Rama chandra whom we have seen through ages in different serials in television but only one stands out in all the serials ever made “Ramayana” by Ramanand Sagar, and by the stories which were told to us by our grandparents. How Rama was in his childhood, and then in adulthood and about the relationship with his brother and Sita.
“Scion of Ikshvaku”

The author of this book is Amish Tripathi the Indian author who is famous for the Shiva trilogy, which is one of the biggest selling series of 3 books.

The novel is a slow-paced but I love the writing of the author. the story goes from the childhood where the brothers grow up together, looking up to the eldest “Rama” for his kindness, simplicity, and the calmness with which he handles every situation he faces.                                                                                                                                                                            I must say the tightness with which the Shiva trilogy was written, is missing. May be at that time, we dint knew so much about Shiva and also the expectation from the author increases when they write something like Shiva trilogy. But again all the best for the remaining books which are about to come in the Rama Trilogy.

There is no friend as loyal as a book

Let’s get started on this new road to the world of books, there is a line written by Ernest Hemingway  – “There is no friend as loyal as a book”. So i will bring a book and would review about the book and let just say, would it be our friend for the journey, that we would be travelling with it, if yes then let’s start.
